The United Nations Association of Turkey was established in 1946. In the same year, it became a founding member of the "World Federation of United Nations Associations" alongside similar associations formed in 20 other countries with the same purpose.
As stated in Article 2 of our bylaws, the purpose of our association is to communicate and disseminate the ideas and principles of the United Nations to the Turkish people, ensure the realization of the UN's principles and decisions, and engage in all kinds of legal activities within the framework of the Turkish nation's interests.
